The three story gray and white house sets atop a steep hill. People search from the street below to find the address. A mixture of garden art and practicality solve the problem. Brightly colored ceramic tiles mimic the colors of spring and summer flowers growing on the hill. Shiny brass numbers are visible from the street and add a touch of class.
This piece was made in a cement cast using a custom made mold. Broken ceramic tile pieces are abstractly laid using the reverse method of mosaic. Two rods of steel rebar are embedded into the cast and stick out the bottom so they can dig into the dirt and keep the sign secure on the hill, yet invisible to the passerby.
Size: 24" round X 1 ½" thick
